When Upper Darby resident and triathlete Steve Brown lines up for the start of the 2003 Ironman USA Triathlon, (2.4 mile swim,
112 mile bike, 26.2 mile run) he will once again be racing for a cause. Brown, with 15 years of multi-sport experience, including
12 marathons and 3 iron distance triathlons, is using his participation in this years Ironman, as a platform to raise funds
for the Philadelphia Affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. 100 % of all donations raised will benefit
The Philadelphia Affiliate.
Year-round, the Philadelphia
Affiliate organizes fundraisers, seminars and a variety of other special events to advance the Komen Foundation’s mission
of eradicating breast cancer as a life-threatening disease by advocating research, education, screening and treatment. Donations
